Renting Tips
Renting an Apartment, Condo, Town home, or Single Family, is something most of us will do at some point in our lives.
Often times it’s harder to
rent than it is to buy a Home.
Here are some tips to make the process go a bit easier.
How much can you afford to pay each
month? Remember you need to know how
much you can afford to spend each month. You cannot rent something you
can’t afford. Landlords will see how much you earn, and in many cases your
credit report. Landlords or their Realtors will determine if you qualify to pay
the rental amount. Don’t shop for a rental that is out of your budget, it will
only make you angry or upset that you can’t have the rental you want, in
addition it will stress you out in your search for your new rental home.
1.
You will need some type of proof of
income such as pay stubs, letter of employment, from your employer, etc.
2.
If
your credit is less than perfect as it is with most of us these days, seek out
help by calling your Realtor, advisor, or someone with experience in this area,
who can help you get the rental you want.
3.
Landlord references, if you have them they are always an added
bonus.
4.
If you are working with a Realtor who
has experience in Rentals, he or she will give you options if your credit is
questionable, if you are new to renting, or your employment has not been long
term.
5.
Always seek the advice of your Realtor
or someone with good experience in renting.
Want and Need
We all would like to have
the perfect rental in the greatest area at the lowest price.
The question you have to
ask yourself before You, or your Realtor begins your search for your new rental
unit is: What do I want and what do I need.
Always start with what
you need such as the number of bedrooms, the location, and the price.
If your wants are that
you’d like 2 bathrooms, and a basement perhaps a garage etc. then you must know
that those are extra’s. Extra’s always add to the price of the rental, so be
aware that the more you want the more it will cost per month.
ACT FAST:
THIS BASIC PRINCIPAL TO SECURING AS RENTAL IS
AS FOLLOWS:
REMEMBER THE RENTAL YOU SAW TODAY, SOMEONE ELSE
SAW YESTERDAY AND THEY ARE COMING IN TONIGHT TO RENT IT.
The one good thing about rentals is that a
rental is not your permanent home. It’s only a place that you choose to rent.
Rentals these days are scarce. The rental
market is competitive.
Be
prepared to rent and make a decision quickly. Rentals, especially the good ones
do go fast.
We at U R Home, Hope the information above is helpful in
your search for your Rental Home
